Moving Day
We finally have made the move from the house to the church missions apartment. Our house doesn't close until December 2, but we are hoping to take a trip to see Ida's folks next week for the American Thanksgiving before we start full time deputation in January. It has been good for the Eagles family as well, as they are able to paint some rooms and now have a place to sleep so that they won't have to commute back and forth the hour drive from Simcoe everyday until their house closes, also on the 2nd of December. Please pray that our lawyer can get all the necessary work done by Monday, or we won't be able to go south. Also pray that I can pick up some meetings along the way and while we are in Texas. Also, please pray that the kids make the adjustment to living in cramped quarters. They are doing well so far, and with the big parking lot, they can play basketball, scooter and skateboard, and play some road hockey (truly Canadians!). One more thing, we had kept February open for a possible trip to Togo, I have been, but my wife hasn't, but it doesn't look like we will be able to go. They are having their national elections, and often they will close their borders for a week or so as to protect themselves from any vulnerability during a government change. The timing can be unpredictable, so we don't want to get stuck there. We will try later in the year, but please pray that we can fill that month with meetings with such short notice. I really have no time until next week to sit and call pastors to seek out meetings. It is a good thing that God has called us and will supply our support, so I won't have to worry about it! Thanks and have a great day!
