Free Time, What is THAT??!!

I know, I know, this is the 2nd blog today. But, guess what?! I only have some laundry, ironing, a small bit of painting, and a few dishes to do today!!! I can't believe it!! For the first time since I came home from Texas in April, I have hardly anything to do!! The house is spotless, two of the children are content and getting along, the other two children are at camp, and Alan is working at the church. The renovations are mostly done (enough for me to take part of the day off). I don't much know what to do with myself!! I think Austin, Beth, Abbie (the dog), and I will take a hike on the trails today. I love those trails and will miss them tremendously. But I am thankful that the Lord put us so close to have enjoyed those trails for the last two years. They are beautiful!

As much as I am thankful for this break that God has given to our family today, I am SO VERY THANKFUL for the strength that He has given us these last few months to be able to get everything accomplished that we thought were necessary. Please don't get me wrong. I am not complaining. I am in awe of HIS goodness. You see, several times these last few months, I would pray, "Lord, please give me strength or time for a rest. Whichever you want to give me, I am happy with. " The time for a nap NEVER came. But His strength was ALWAYS there! God is good, all the time!

Just as I was typing this blog, the thought came to my mind: How many times have I had to pray for strength about working so hard about the things of GOD? HMMM...Oh me. The Lord is faithful, even when I am not faithful.

Psalm 113:1, 2 Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.

Have a wonderful day,

Ida
