Hey, everyone! I can't believe it has been a week since my last post!! Even though I haven't posted, the Lord has still answered prayer in a GREAT way:

About 2 weeks ago on Sunday, August 9, Pastor Jason Eagles, and his lovely wife, Faith, along with their two beautiful boys, came to our church and candidated for the postion of pastor (well, Bro. Eagles actually did that part!). We thoroughly enjoyed the preaching and the fellowship, as well as the special music that was provided. The church voted on the following Sun. night and voted to hire him as their pastor. Three nights later, he ACCEPTED!! We are so very thankful. Right from the beginning, the Lord has laid Pastor Eagles and his family on Alan's heart to pray about asking him to candidate. Right from the start, the Lord opened the doors and aswered prayer on our behalf, as well as the Eagles' behalf. Right from the start, we ONLY wanted the Lord's will to be done! Please pray for the Eagles family, as they have been on staff at Bethel Baptist Church, Simcoe, and it will be difficult leaving their church that has loved them and that they in return have loved. Change is rarely easy, but we thank the Lord for the peace and grace that HE gives us as we try to live and make decisions according to HIS will. Please also pray that their house sells in God's time. We know that everthing will be taken care of, right down to the smallest detail.
