CREEPY!!...
This morning, I took my usual trek to the laundry mat. I really enjoy doing laundry, so I don't mind going to the laundry mat. Every week, at least one child will go with me to help me with the baskets and such. Today, that child was Emily.
Well, Emily and I had already put the clothes into the dryers and we sat at the chairs, flipping through the television stations. At this point, we were the only ones in the building until a young man in his early 20's came in. I smiled at him (I usually smile at everyone), but he didn't crack a smile, he just gave me an icy stare that sent shivers down my spine. (Some people don't return the smile, but that icy stare...) All he had was a backpack. He didn't use the washroom, vending machine, laundry equipment, or anything. He just walked up behind us and stood there. TALK ABOUT MAKING ME NERVOUS!! Immediately, I started praying because I couldn't see him, and at this point, my heart was beating quite rapidly. I just felt really uncomfortable. So I stood up, hoping that Emily would follow my lead, but she didn't:( I walked over to the dryers and took out some clothes, knowing that most of those clothes were still quite wet, but at least I could see him. He just kept watching t.v. He stood there for another minute. Then, a lady walked in, and he left. I just KNEW the Lord sent her our way! We usually go when no one else is there that way we are not tripping over people. The other thing that I found was neat, is that in all these weeks that we have been going to this laundry mat, it is RARE for someone to come in after us to start their laundry just as this lady did. Hmmm....
Well, that was the excitement of the day!
