Sunday

Hello, friends! This last Sunday we had the privilege of being at North Country Baptist Church in Orillia, Ontario, where Pastor Len Crow pastors a really friendly church. I really enjoyed being there. They run a bus route, and brought in what seemed like quite a few children. My heart ALWAYS goes out to bus children. For those of you who work in the bus ministry, thank you. I know it is a lot of hard work, lots of praying, and there are even some tears. But you can give to these children something that they do not get at home: The Love of Christ!! Isn't that what they need?? I know that personally, I am VERY grateful for my bus captain and the bus drivers that took the time and money to invest in my life and the lives of my brothers.
Back to North Country Baptist Church: I really appreciated the Sunday School teacher for Bethany's class. She has exposed her class to missions by teaching them about missionaries from years past. Then she brought her class out to see the display table to ask questions. I thought it was great!!
After the service, we went out to lunch, and then the Crows took us to their farm. They are fascinating people!! He is a cowboy and has had many adventures! At one time in their life, his family followed him in their truck while he rode horseback from Alaska to Texas. It took them 6 MONTHS! But he did it to raise money for a children's orphanage. His church has built and orphanage in Cambodia. They have many residents whose lives are being saved from the wickedness of adults there in that country. What they are doing is no small task.
We didn't have a scheduled meeting that Sunday night, so we drove over to Wasaga Beach to see the Adkins family and try to be a blessing to their church. All I can say is "WOW!!" There weren't a whole lot of people there, but the Spirit was definitely there! I was also really impressed with their oldest son who is 16 years old. He leads the singing! He is only 16!! It is hard to get ADULT men in front of people!! Anyway, he does a fantastic job. It is great to see young people serving the Lord, and I am sure it is a great help to his dad.
Well, I am off to try to do some more teaching. Finally, I am beginning to see the light at the of the homeschooling tunnel for this year! Yay!!
Psalm 113:1,2
Have a great day!
Love,
Ida
